Absolutely. Its been here a thousand times. Stay far far away from these people.> >Just ask yourself this series of questions:> >If YOU were selling the car, would you sell it well below market value, for any reason?> >Would you have to ship it somewhere, or if you were selling that cheap, would you be able to find many buyers in your own city?> >If you were going to ship the car, would you sell it too cheap, then PAY to ship it to the buyer?> >If you paid to ship it to the buyer, and sold it dirt cheap, would you give them a right to refuse, or tell them “A deal is a deal”?> >If they refused the car, that you sold too cheap, and paid for shipping on – would you then pay for return shipping? > >Jack answers:>

Its a scam they come up with a story that sounds true but if its to good to be true than it is. If they could easily get over 10 grand for it they would sell it for that. Unless this seller has a rich family theres no way he would sell it for 7,000 under value. A 2003 toyota celica with 25000 miles is not ever going to be $3100, i sold my ’02 camry with 165,000 miles on it for $5000 (not to be disrespectful but the government doesnt pay people in the military much money too). These ebay scams happen all the time. Ebay will not send you a message like that. This happens way too much people say this is such a great deal and then they are out $10,000 the next day and never see it again and theresno way to get it back.> > >

A well maintained Saab, emphasis on well”, will last for an extended period of time, well into the 200,000 mile mark and beyond. Preferably, maintained by an experienced Saab Mechanic. Finding one with no rust and that has ALL service records should be your main concerns. Finding one from an original owner would be even better. Saab’s are GREAT automobiles, especially the Classic 900 lineup. Check this site out, it’s simply AMAZING for used Saab’s. Many, you will find, are in exceptional condition from original owners. I just bought a car in PA and I was bringing it to VA. I got temp. Tags but they were sending the title to VA. You may have to pay a second registration fee because you didn’t mention it before…. But you should be fine to drive and then register it in your new state!> >Good Luck> > >

If you buy it from a dealer out of state, he is an agent of the dmv, he may give you a temporary (paper) tag. If is from a private party, you need to get the vin number, call the insurance company, give the vin, have a copy of the insurance card faxed to you (or pick it up) go to the dmv ahead of time with the vin the license plate and insurance card, and get a temporary tag to transport the vehicle. Which you then need to take to the dmv, to get the vin inspected, and get plates and registration for your car> > >

No, you don’t have to – because it will show up on your record, and then you’ll get either an “uprate” or a cancellation notice for failure to disclose. > >Believe me, they WILL find out. Honey, I’m afraid you lost your money on this one, I’m sorry. I would however go with a reputable car dealership as they will no doubt stay in business & take away your worries. > >Jack answers:>

The best extended warranty> is no longer available to you; that was the Honda Care service contract but you can’t buy that after the car is 6 months old.> >There are several dealer group contracts that are ‘universal’ in coverage but most won’t cover the hybrid powertrain components. They will cover the other mechanicals. Be sure when you compare coverages to be sure it is clearly stated that the hybrid components are covered. It will say so right in the ‘covered components’ section of the contract.> >You can also buy ‘mechanical breakdown insurance’ from credit unions. They are different from ‘service contracts’ in that they are real insurance policies that cover you for the failure of the specified parts versus a ‘service contract’ which is an ‘agreement’ with all kinds of stipulations as to maintenance, use, type of failure etc. Again, as with the service contract, make sure the hybrid components are called out in the ‘fine print’; otherwise they won’t be covered.> >Your options are limited on what contracts you can buy as most dealers won’t assume the risk of selling a contract on a vehicle that they did not retail. If you bought the car from a private party then the credit union may be your only option for mechanical breakdown insurance. If you bought it new from a dealer then the dealer may be able to sell you an aftermarket plan while the car is still under warranty>. The programs from JM&A are quality contracts so that should be your first choice if you can find a dealer that will sell you one. JM&A is the finance arm of Jim Moran Family Enterprises and they are a Toyota Distributor in the Southeast. Their contract would probably cover the hybrid because of the Toyota Prius. I’ve never had a problem getting a covered repair approved through their administrative arm and they pay the dealers promptly.> >Hope that helps> > >

Sunny, The truth is that company is covering only 40,000 miles of power-train warranty> BEYOND the 60,000 your getting from Toyota anyway.
